Blue Orange – Acrylic Portrait – 8 june 21
Blue Orange is an acrylic painting following Golden Face and Fire Girl. I really enjoyed picking the shades of blue and applying the details. Please, enjoy🌟.

Sketching Phase
Take a pencil and draw the outlines, considering the most features specificities (angular nose, large mouth, falling eyes…).
Blocking Colours
I love this step the most: selecting (from black to white) the in-between shades for the portrait.
Then, considering the reference photo, chose a sign for a shade and display them accordingly.
This is a beginner method to identify the bright and dark zones easily. We obviously leave the white for the bright zones, the black for the shadows.
On Going Process
Applying the colours from darker to brighter.
Once all the zones are blocked, we focus on enhancing the details…
…and by details I mean the orange and the golden earrings, the light throug the finger tips…
Thanks!
